About

At 39th Ave Church of Christ we desire to share God’s love as Jesus did.

Maintain the unity of the Sprit in the bond of peace.  There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism one God and Father of all,  who is over all and through all and in all.  Ephesians 4:3-6

A Casual Atmosphere

We are connected by our love for Jesus, not our clothes choices. You will see people in suits to jeans. You are welcomed to dress comfortably. We love to sing in church as well!

A Safe Environment for Kids

Kids are important to us. At the 39th Ave. Church they can learn about Jesus on their level. The Bible is taught in a creative and fun way.

Warm Greeting

Everyone is welcome at 39th Ave. Church of Christ. You are free to sit anywhere you like in our meeting house. We know visiting a new place can be scary, that's why we give a warm welcome to everyone that enters our building.

Ability to Ask Questions

You are encouraged to ask questions. If there's anything you don't understand about the preaching or the services, you are welcome to ask the preacher after services. You can even submit your question in writing if you prefer

Worship through Hymns and Song is important to us

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. –Colossians 3:16-17

Our Leadership

Christ is the head of the church, King, High Priest & Chief Shepherd.  Local elders of the church are exhorted:

Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you, not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.
